About Us

Good Prospects Speech Pathology is an independent speech pathology practice which is committed to quality, evidence based service with a focus on the communication skills of children and adults in all their contexts across the lifespan.

 

Specialist Areas include:

 

  • Developmental speech and language difficulties incorporating the latest techniques in articulation & language therapy
  • Intervention for non-talking toddlers using parent focused approaches

  • Expressive language and vocabulary development
  • Oral and written literacy skills essential for success with the school curriculum
  • Fluency Intervention including the well researched Lidcombe program
  • Visual communication strategies including alternative and augmentative communication plans
  • Short term prevention programs in schools and pre-schools enabling staff to become more independent at meeting speech, oral language and literacy needs
  • Workshops & positive language development strategies for parents, pre-schools and schools
  • Intervention for children with Disabilities and those with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Development of pragmatic and social language skills
  • Children and students with an ESL background
  • Behavioural Issues related to speech and language difficulties

Clients can self-refer to the practice. A referral from a GP or other specialist is not required.

 

Good Prospects Speech Pathology  is registered as a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Provider for those families who have been approved under this plan by their GP to receive a rebate for up to 5, 10 or 20 sessions depending on diagnosis.

Our practice is registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).  Please use their access checker at www.ndis.gov.au to see if you may be eligible for this service. We do not charge travel costs for those attending our Berri and Gawler offices as we choose to be based there.
