Diana Bleby – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Diana

Diana is the Principal Speech Pathologist of the practice with personal specialisations in school age and adolescent therapy along with her long-term pre-school paediatric speech, language and fluency work. She has 25 years of experience working in State Education as a field and Senior Speech Pathologist/line manager and 10 years as a Professional Recognition Assessor with Speech Pathology Australia. As a former State Branch President, she is committed to lobbying for effective and appropriate speech pathology services for all people whatever their walk in life.

Cindy Leighton – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Cindy is a talented and experienced speech pathologist of more than 25 years. She holds the role of Senior Speech Pathologist – Professional Support whilst like everyone else still seeing some clients. Her primary focus is our Gawler Office and Clare outreach as well as working with Diana on the professional support program for all staff. She has long term experience with clients who have complex needs and require Augmentative or Alternate communication systems, children with early language needs and language and literacy within the school aged population. She also has a history of working in health with adults with Dysphagia.

Deidre Baird – Practice

Deidre Baird – Practice Manager

Deidre has a wealth of experience working in the Home Care and Aged Care Sectors including being a Health and Wellness planner coordinating service providers. Her long history of developing and creating policy in these sectors means that she has a crucial role in ensuring that Good Prospects Speech Pathology maintains the highest of standards when it comes to compliance with organisations such as the NDIS, Medicare, SA Health and Private Health Insurance Providers. She is the face of our practice at our main Salisbury office and the person you are most likely to talk to when you first call.

Kim Adams – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Kim brings a number of highly valuable skills to this practice. As well as an experienced speech pathologist and clinical educator, she is a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and a fluent Auslan speaker. Kim is currently also the Deputy Principal at Klemzig Primary School which has a hearing impaired unit and will be working 1 day a week with Good Prospects in 2018 with a view to increasing this time at the end of the year.

Rebecca Farrelly – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Rebecca has worked in a range of low-socio-economic communities and is passionate in particular about working with Autism and AAC. She has experience with sensory feeding issues as well. Prior to joining her chosen profession of Speech Pathology, Rebecca worked as an education support officer in a northern suburbs school supporting children with complex needs, working with early literacy and social skills groups. As well as having managed busy and complex caseloads, Rebecca has had experience working with adults who have speech, language and swallowing needs.

Vanessa Fung – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Qualified as a speech pathologist in Australia, Vanessa is originally from Singapore and in addition to her excellent English she is fluent in Mandarin. Vanessa also holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (First class honours).

Vanessa is trained in both Hanen and PECS and her experiences include working in an early intervention team, therapy with voice clients and adult neurological and swallowing work. Prior to becoming a speech pathologist, Vanessa worked supported students at the Pathlight school for students with Autism, in Singapore.

Eden Johnstone – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Eden is a local Riverland girl who has returned to provide service to her local community in her chosen profession of speech pathology.

She is a talented speech pathologist with experience working with both paediatric and adult clients. She has a passion working with very young children as well as being a mother of a young child herself. She has worked with voice and fluency clients as well as working with cleft palate and early feeding difficulties.

Eden is also passionate about and has experience working with adults in the area of Dysphagia, language and speech.

Hannah Luxton – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

In addition to being a Speech Pathologist, Hannah has a degree in Behavioural Science (Psychology). She is passionate about working with clients and their families in a holistic and inclusive manner. Her areas of experience include working with children who have speech and language difficulties, fluency disorders (stuttering) and adult swallowing assessments. She has worked across pre-schools and schools in both metropolitan and country locations.

Paula Messina – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Paula

Paula has worked in settings of diverse cultural and socio-economic demographics, in both Adelaide and Darwin. Formerly being a Disability Support worker, prior to becoming a Speech pathologist she has had additional experience working with families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Focussing on the client and their individual needs is what drives her passion for her chosen profession and her areas of clinical skill are in the areas of ASD, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), voice, early language and Dysphagia (swallowing)

Lakkari Rigney – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Lakkari

With previous experience in the private sector and provision of multi-disciplinary services, Lakkari is a talented and proudly indigenous (Ngarrindjeri) speech pathologist who holds a first class honours degree in swallowing. Experienced with AAC and early intervention, Lakkari also has a depth of experience with adults working with swallowing and adult rehabilitation, feeding and school aged clients. She is passionate about client centred care and strong collaborative practice.

Ivy Zhai

Having trained as a speech pathologist in Australia, Ivy is originally from mainland China and is qualified bilingual speech pathologist, fluent in both English and Mandarin. She holds a Master of Chinese Linguistics and a Bachelor of Arts in addition to her Masters’ Speech Pathology qualification. Ivy’s employment experiences include working in Department for Education with preschool and school aged children who have speech and language difficulties, working in an early intervention team, fluency clients and therapy with the aged with swallowing and communication issues.

Kassie is our fulltime NDIS manager and accounts processor. She is always available to respond to NDIS queries in relation to funding, service agreements and service bookings. Kassie also has a double degree in Media and English. She works flexibly across our offices supporting staff and providing the quality administration time that our practitioners deserve.

Caitlyn Lange – Admin

Caitlyn Lange – Admin Support

Caitlyn is a local Riverland girl who has joined Good Prospects as admin support on the ground in the Riverland. She has a great history of interpersonal skills and experience in service related industries. Caitlyn also supports the resource needs of all our speech pathologists across the team and is involved in NDIS claiming and payments as well as local office management. She proudly identifies as being Aboriginal.

Meg Phiddian – Speech Assistant and Admin Support

Meg is a Speech Pathology graduate who supports this practice and learns from us at the same time. She is a magic resource creator and, under supervision works with our clients on Saturdays with whom she has created a relationship. A bright future in Speech Pathology is predicted for this girl.
