Diana Bleby – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Diana

Diana is the Principal Speech Pathologist of the practice with personal specialisations in school age and adolescent therapy along with her long-term pre-school paediatric speech, language and fluency work. She has 25 years of experience working in State Education as a field and Senior Speech Pathologist/line manager and 10 years as a Professional Recognition Assessor with Speech Pathology Australia. As a former State Branch President, she is committed to lobbying for effective and appropriate speech pathology services for all people whatever their walk in life.

Cindy Leighton – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Cindy is a talented and experienced speech pathologist of more than 25 years. She holds the role of Senior Speech Pathologist – Professional Support whilst like everyone else still seeing some clients. Her primary focus is our Gawler Office and Clare outreach as well as working with Diana on the professional support program for all staff. She has long term experience with clients who have complex needs and require Augmentative or Alternate communication systems, children with early language needs and language and literacy within the school aged population. She also has a history of working in health with adults with Dysphagia.

Kim Adams – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Kim brings a number of highly valuable skills to this practice. As well as an experienced speech pathologist and clinical educator, she is a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and a fluent Auslan speaker. Kim is currently also the Deputy Principal at Klemzig Primary School which has a hearing impaired unit and will be working 1 day a week with Good Prospects in 2018 with a view to increasing this time at the end of the year.

Claudia Bellardino – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Claudia

Claudia is a paediatric speech pathologist, with previous experience working in private practice. Claudia recognises each client is individual and is passionate about supporting families to their reach goals and make a positive difference. She has worked in clinic, school and home based settings to provide speech, language, literacy and feeding interventions for children. Her skills extend to working with adult dysphagia and post stroke rehabilitation with experience in acute hospital wards, and outpatient rehab services.

Belinda Binney – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Belinda who is based in the Riverland has a wealth of speech pathology experience having worked with Autism SA, Riverland Community Health, Renmark Children’s Centre and in her own capacity as a private practitioner. She provides Autism assessments to Riverland clients but is currently not available until later in 2018. Please contact the practice directly for alternative options

Vanessa Fung – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Qualified as a speech pathologist in Australia, Vanessa is originally from Singapore and in addition to her excellent English she is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Vanessa also holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (First class honours).

 

Vanessa is trained in both Hanen and PECS and her experiences include working in an early intervention team, therapy with voice clients and adult neurological and swallowing work. Prior to becoming a speech pathologist, Vanessa worked as a teacher at the Pathlight school for students with Autism, in Singapore.

Rachel Frost – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Rachel has strong skills working with children with complex needs as having worked as an ABA therapist in addition to her speech pathology qualifications. She has experience working within the child development team in Darwin and has worked closely with fluency clients. In the area of adult therapy, Rachel has worked with both communication and swallowing issues with the aged.

 

Rachel has a passion for country work and within our team, her work is focused largely in the Gawler area with outreach work to Clare and the mid-north.

Emma Knight – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Emma is a dedicated speech pathologist with experience working in both country and metropolitan areas. She has experience working for Good Prospects in Riverland schools, pre-schools and nursing homes as well as in the metropolitan area where she is now based. She has a talent working with older people who may have swallowing or language issues and has completed projects with ECH around socialisation for older people with communication difficulties. She is accredited to provide LSVT®LOUD therapy for clients such as those with Parkinson’s Disease. Her paediatric work has included extensive success working with school aged students in both Catholic and DECD Schools in particular.

Duani Leach  – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Duani is a local Riverland girl whose passion is to work in the region where she grew up and give something back to the community.

 

She is a talented speech pathologist with experience working with DECD (Education Department) in both metropolitan and country/far north outreach locations in particular with disadvantaged families. Her work in this area includes an ability to work with augmentative and alternative communication skills including ProLoQuo2Go. She has skills in working with voice clients and in the area of adult care, she has experience both working and volunteering with adults and aged people with language and swallowing issues.

Diana Nelson – Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Di is an experienced paediatric speech pathologist who has a broad range of experience and qualifications.
She has a Masters in Disability studies as well as Speech Pathology and an honours degree in psychology.
With experience in private practice and state education, Di is also a qualified Autism Assessor.

Mikaela is passionate about working with children in the private practice context. She likes to see the progress that can be achieved in working this way. Kassie McKenzie – Admin and Media

Kassie is our fulltime NDIS manager and accounts processor. She is always available to respond to NDIS queries in relation to funding, service agreements and service bookings. Kassie also has a double degree in Media and English. She works flexibly across our offices supporting staff and providing the quality administration time that our practitioners deserve.

Meg is a fourth year speech pathology student who supports this practice and learns from us at the same time. She is a magic resource creator and, under supervision works with our clients on Saturdays with whom she has created a relationship.
